York Region District School Board has 13 trustees representing all areas of York Region. They are elected by English public school supporters for a four-year term. Among their roles and responsibilities, the Board of Trustees is responsible for hiring the Director of Education. The Director of Education is the chief education officer and chief executive officer of the board.
