Course Name: Current Issues in Canada (HDD4T)

Course Description: Current Issues in Canada is designed to introduce students to the different political, social and economic issues that Canada currently faces. Students will build an understanding of how the government functions in Canada, as well as, many of the social issues that contemporary Canada faces. Current Issues in Canada will cover topics such as; multiculturalism and diversity, democracy, social inequality, Aboriginal relations, regionalism and French-English relations. This course seeks to develop students' understanding of Canada's unique cultural and historical position in the world.
