The Equity and Inclusivity Symposium is a full-day learning opportunity for York Region District School Board staff. In this session, school administrators and equity designates will participate in a variety of workshops focusing on deepening staff understanding of equity and inclusivity and how oppression is structured in society impacting our schools and workplaces. The eighth annual Equity Symposium focusing on the Provincial Equity Action Plan – A Vision for Transformation will feature sessions on anti-black racism, classism, Islamophobia, 2SLGBTQ issues, mental health, bias and inclusivity.
