Students at Oak Ridges P.S. will be celebrating the joys and importance of reading and writing with guest speakers from May 7-11, 2018 in honour of Literacy Week. Students will also engage in a variety of activities including a creative writing contest, door decorating contest and a spirit day where students will dress up as their favourite book character.
Guest speakers include:
- Former captain of Team Canada women’s hockey, Angela James

- Author and storyteller, Shoshana Litman
- Visit Date - Tuesday, May 8, 2018 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
- York Region Police Chief, Eric Joliffe

- Speaker, author, performance coach and mountaineer, Alan Mallory
