More than 100 YRDSB students will be challenged to use mathematics in creative ways to solve scientific and engineering problems in the AMD Engineering Mathletics competition. This sold-out annual event provides students with the opportunity to have fun, win prizes and meet with professional engineers while using their problem-solving and math skills.
Where:
705 Columbus Way, Newmarket ON
When:
Saturday, October 28, 2017
Junior competition: 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Senior competition: 2:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Why:
To exercise math abilities to solve scientific and engineering problems.
Who:
The contest is open to students Grades 7-10. Teachers, parents and community members are welcome to watch and support the participants.
