York Region District School Board invites community members to attend one of three virtual public meetings to provide input into the Board’s review of trustee electoral areas. Community members will have an opportunity to provide feedback on three proposed options.
A team of consultants hired by the Board to conduct the review, developed the options for consideration based on previous community consultations and research. These options are outlined in a report available on the Board website.
Comments received will be considered and used to make a final recommendation to the Board of Trustees in January 2022.

WHY:
The Ministry of Education requires school boards to make recommendations regarding the determination and distribution of trustee electoral areas before each municipal election. As a result of population change and growth in the Region, the Board is reviewing the electoral area boundaries.
