The York Region Science and Technology Fair is an opportunity for all York Region students from Grades 7-12 to showcase their scientific research and meet other young scientists. Approximately 110 projects have been entered in the fair this year.
Categories for student projects: Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering and Computing Sciences, Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Earth and Environmental Science.
Gold medal winners at the York Region Science and Technology are invited to participate and compete at the 55th Canada Wide Science Fair in Montreal, Quebec during the week of May 15-20, 2016.

Saturday, April 2
8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Best photo opportunities available between:

4:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Awards and Recognition Ceremony)
Why:
To celebrate the achievements of young scientists in York Region and encourage students to explore different fields in science.

Participants: York Region District School Board students, York Catholic District School Board students, independent school students.
Organized by: York Region Sci-Tech Fair Committee and York University.
Special Guest: Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti will be in attendance at the Awards ceremony.
