York Region District School Board’s Alliance of Educators for Black Students is hosting an annual awards night to recognize Black students for achievement in academics, arts, school involvement and athletics. This year’s theme is Celebrating Excellence.

Why:
The Alliance of Educators for Black Students (AEBS) is a network of educators within York Region District School Board, with the purpose of promoting the achievement and well-being of students of African/ Caribbean heritage. In addition to the Annual Student Awards, AEBS also holds forums and conferences for parents and students, hosts teacher workshops, provides mentoring and holds an African Heritage Fair.
