For more than 50 years, York Region District School Board's Outdoor Education Centres have been offering students an immersive learning experience about the natural world in all seasons.
All students in grades two, four and seven have the opportunity to visit one of the five centres. Programming is designed to support and enrich the Ontario curriculum.
"The biggest excitement is seeing kids come out here every day, seeing them really thrive in the outdoor environment and really seeing how kids break out of their normal structures, in order to just have fun outdoors and be themselves," said Myles Katz, Outdoor Education Specialist, Burrlington Outdoor Resource Centre.
