In honour of Pink Shirt Day, students and staff at Thornhill Woods PS will be participating in various activities aimed at educating students on bullying prevention.
The activities for the week include:
- Student-led cyber bullying presentations (Grade 4-8)
- Student-led anti-bullying skit (Kindergarten – Grade 3)
- Pink treats bake sale in support of 360 Kids
- Student Presentations - The story of David Shepherd and Travis Price and "Why We Wear Pink"
- Pink Shirt Day assembly with guest speaker, Mercedes Carli.
- School-wide read aloud and discussion with a focus on anti-bullying and friendship
- Pink Week Door Decorating Challenge
- Kindergarten students will go on a “Friendship Walk” Friday morning to see all the creations and positive messages.
