Meet Jayden Hamilton (Lil J Hollywood), a Grade 9 student from Richmond Hill H.S. Jayden is a teen artist who has had an interest and passion for music since the age of six. Over the last two years, Jayden has put out 11 singles and released his 2021 album self-titled, LIL J HOLLYWOOD.
Through his story, Jayden wants to inspire other Black youth to unlock their potential.
In honour of Black History Month, York Region District School Board will be celebrating Black excellence throughout the month of February and beyond by sharing stories of our students, alumni, staff, community members, community partners, Board and our region as a whole. All members of the York Region community are encouraged to make nominations.
