During Computer Science Education Week (December 4-10, 2017), students from around the world will participate in The Hour of Code. At Beckett Farm Public School, JK-Grade 8 students will take part in various coding activities throughout the week.
Students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 across the York Region District School Board will also be participating in this event.

Why:
Coding provides a foundation for all students to learn fundamental skills in metacognition, problem
solving, collaboration, critical thinking, and inquiry.
The Hour of Code event supports student engagement, innovation and the Board’s Modern Learning Strategy.
