The York Region Preschool Speech And Language Program (YRPSLP) is designed to deliver speech and language services for preschool children and their families in York Region, from birth to Junior Kindergarten entry. A smooth transition to school is facilitated by staff at YRPSLP and the York Region District School Board (YRDSB). With permission from the family, the YRPSLP Speech-Language Pathologist will provide the school board with a report outlining your child's speech and language needs. YRPSLP offers assessment and a range of intervention services to support the development of speech, language, and communication skills. The YRPSLP Speech-Language Pathologist can also determine if it is appropriate to refer children to services available through Children’s Treatment Network.
