A group of students at H.G. Bernard Public School who had never skated or played hockey before received free equipment, coaching and eight weeks of ice time thanks to a program aimed at providing access to the game.
This program was delivered through a partnership with York Regional Police and the National Hockey League Players' Association.
Watch the journey of these 25 Grade 4 and 5 students, from their first steps on the ice to their progress in skating and puck handling.
