Dual Credits allow students in secondary school to take college or apprenticeship courses that count towards both the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and a postsecondary certificate, diploma, or degree, or an apprenticeship certification.

The York Region District School Board, in partnership with local colleges, offers many dual credit courses for Grade 11 and 12 students.
Students may earn credits towards the OSSD through courses delivered by publicly funded colleges in Ontario that are participating in the ministry-approved dual credit program. Students may earn up to four optional credits through college-delivered courses.

Complete the online application form after speaking to a guidance counselor to review eligibility requirements.

Ensure that you you check your Gapps email account for important messages and next steps to the application process.

Information on the Orientation dates and times are usually available a week or two before the semester starts. As this information is shared by the colleges, it will be passed on to the Dual Credit students.
