Elementary Gender and Sexuality Alliances (GSAs) throughout York Region District School Board are helping to create a safe space for 2SLGBTQ+ students.
The GSAs aim to provide social support, education about 2SLGBTQ+ history and experiences, and advocacy.
"The GSA is a place for students who are part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community and students who are not, so students who are can join the group and feel safe, and students who are not can learn about other identities," said Makayla, Wellington PS.
