Meet Landon Dorlandt, a curious and passionate learner who expresses his love for learning through creating educational videos. His recent recreation of a painting caught the attention of the gallery that houses the original.
Earlier this year, Landon spent three days recreating Albert Bierstadt's "Domes of Yosemite," and documented his learning through a video. After seeing his efforts, the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum in Vermont invited Landon to visit and see the original artwork, and posted his video on their website.
"The best part about seeing the original painting was that fact that it was so large and so detailed," said Landon, a Grade 6 student at Northern Lights P.S. "Some advice I would give about learning is that learning is everywhere and not just in school. Also, that there's always a chance to learn something new."
