Camp Black Brilliance offers families the opportunity to get to know the Kindergarten program and have their children experience their introduction to schooling in a way that is culturally responsive and affirming of their identity, through experiential learning.
"Camp Black Brilliance is a program that is offered for families with Black students. The program really gives families an opportunity to see what the Kindergarten program is like, what it looks like," said Kerrie-Ann Gunn, teacher. "And those students who attend actually are engaged in an introduction of the program in a way that is culturally responsive. It affirms who they are and their values."
